Take the Level 1 Test:

This test contains 50 questions that will help to determine if a “recently trained” polysomnographic technician can be trusted to perform PSG’s. The applicant should have had at least 4-6 weeks training with experienced technicians, and read education materials describing how to record and stage a PSG. This individual should also be familiar with the purpose of other tests and questionnaires commonly given in sleep laboratories.
The applicant should be given 75 minutes to submit the test. A minimum score of 70% is passing. (35 correct answers).

This test is scored by a RPSGT (or higher) and the results will be sent to you email. Price: $10.00 USD

Take the Level 2 Test:

This test contains 50 questions. It was designed for non-registered sleep technicians who have at least 6 months experience recording PSG’s and MSLT’s. The test taker should be familiar with BiPAP therapy, ETCO2, Esophageal Pressure Monitoring, and full montage EEG/sleep recordings. He/she should also be able to recognize ECG arrhythmias and perform pediatric sleep recordings.
The scoring standard is the same as the first test. A minimum score of 70% is passing. (no more than 15 questions missed).
This is a challenging test. In my opinion an individual who scores well on this test is ready to take the board exam to become a RPSGT.
